Raven's Keep is a hard-rockin' band with a sound of it's own. Fronted by lead singer and founder Glenda Chambers-Moore, with her unique voice and some occasional keys, (influences include Heart, Rush, & Led Zeppelin) the band is based around that and the rockin' riffs of guitar greats Tony Carroll (of Randy Rhoads, Hendrix, Tony Iommi, K.K. Downing & Glen Tipton influence), and Kevin Robinson (Joe Perry, Shannon Hoon, Slash), and the thundering bass of Ron Moore (Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, Ian Anderson). Ron also throws in some flute at times to add yet another unique twist. Completing the line-up is the powerhouse drumming of Bryan "The Sloth" Helms, with the influence of the late, great John Bonham evident, plus Phil Rudd, Tommy Lee and Dave Lombardo. The band just recently released their debut full-length cd entitled "The Keeper". A few of the tracks on the cd, Black Cherry, Pendulum & Unnerved, to name a few have been played on WFBQ Q95 (based in Indianapolis, IN.) and WKLU 101.9 of Brownsburg, IN. Raven's Keep plays local rock clubs in and around the greater Indianapolis area, has played multiple benefits including one in June 2004 at the Rathskeller in Indy to help send the Lawrence Central High School Band to play at the January 2005 Rose Bowl in California. The band also played in May 2004 for the Mini-Marathon in Indy and have been asked to return in 2005. The band is currently booking live shows in Indiana and surrounding states, promoting The Keeper cd and working on new material. |
